You probably didn't know it, but Scooby Doo was born on the Knittingham Puppy Farm. He has three siblings; Skippy, Howdy, and Ruby Doo. Ruby Doo was later married and gave birth to Scooby Doo's nephew, Scrappy Doo. Scooby Doo went on to join the gang and barely ever sees his siblings. Scooby also has many cousins. These cousins include Scooby Dum, Scooby Dee, Dixie Doo, Dooby Doo, Woopsy Doo, etc., etc., etc.. Scooby Dum is Scooby's most dim-witted relative. He lives on a showboat in HoakeyFinoakey Swamp with Ma and Pa Skillett. Scooby Dee is Scooby's most beautiful and generous cousin. She is an actor. Although she is Scooby's cousin, both Scooby Doo and Scooby Dum have a crush on her. Dixie Doo lives on a showboat similar to that in which Scooby Dum lives. She is a performer and singer on the large showboat. Scooby Doo knows that when he needs help, he can count on his cousins to help him. His cousins know that they could all say the same thing about their cousin, Scooby Dooby Doo!

On the other side of the family/friend coin, there is the gang. The gang has no correct name. It has been called Mystery Incorporated, The Scooby Doo Detective Agency, and when Fred, Daphne, and Velma weren't around, Scooby, Shaggy, and Scrappy joined the Fearless Detective Agency, opened by Shaggy's uncle only referred to as "Uncle Fearless". The gang includes Shaggy (Norville) Rogers, Velma Dinkley, Daphne Blake, Fred Jones, and of course Scooby (Scoobert) Doo. Velma is the smartest person in the group. She finds most of the clues. Daphne is commonly referred to as "Danger-Prone Daphne" because she's always getting into trouble. Although she may be falling through trap doors, being kidnapped by ghosts, or falling off of balconies, her great fashion sense makes her look great doing it. Fred is a natural born leader obsessed with traps. He can capture almost anything that even moves. Shaggy is a hippy with a strange growth on his chin that appears to be a beard. When told to shave it off he will say that it has a mind of its own and that he is not even sure what it actually is. Scooby information is scattered all throughout this article. Both Shaggy and Scooby would rather eat food than solve mysteries.

Two more things are left to be discussed. All of Scooby Doo's relatives are in fact great danes. Also, Scooby Dum is the one of Scooby's cousins most recently brought up, because Scooby Dum was featured in four episodes while Scooby's other cousins were only featured in one each.
