At the end of the day, when he was the last to leave, Mr. Carswell would steal money from the safe; while at night, he would return and then leave as the Creeper with a briefcase, making it look like the latter had stolen from the bank. What he didn't know was that the guard had set up an infra-red security camera, providing evidence that Mr. Carswell was embezzling money from his bank.
